BEST Featured Artist: Gilliauna

Sea-Inspired Charm Bracelet
Good morning! Gilliauna, based out of Vancouver and Seattle, is one of the jewelry and accessory artists who belongs to the BESTeam on Etsy.  While at first glance her store does not appear to offer much alternative jewelry, a closer look reveals a whimsical, romantic and dark side to this store! Looking around you can find colorful pieces that are Victorian, Pagan, and fairytale-inspired.  However, Gilliauna creates these looks in a subtle and sophisticated way.

Romantic Rose Pocketwatch
She offers quite a few Victorian and romantic pieces, such as the pocket watch necklace to the right.  I love pocket watches - and you can see from this piece that Gilliauna has a great eye for color when she chose to combine the rose, milky white and brass colors in one piece.  She also uses very unique findings such as the tri-circle you see above the pocket watch.  She also uses brass findings shaped like roses, which you can see at the top left-hand side of the picture.

As I mentioned earlier, Gilliauna also offers jewelry for those who are Pagan.  She even has meditation beads!  I love this meditation necklace in jade with a tree focal pendant.

Seasons Change Meditation Necklace
If you are looking for some practical, but stylish tools, Gilliauna also offers eyeglass holders, badge lanyards, and bookmarks.  I especially love the bookmarks that she creates:
Fairy Bookmark
Goth Beaded Bookmark

Isn't that last bookmark funny and cute?  Be sure to check out Gilliauna's other items because she has many more to offer - she has nearly 500 listed!

Also, be sure to head over and follow her blog, the Handmade Shopping Guide, if you love finding out about new and interesting handmade items.
